NEW ALBUM: Two Guitars Clash - Radio Rebelde

By: Jeremy House
I must heap the praise on the sound of Two Guitars Clash. They have a good raw punk sound but not to the point where it’s too much or will make your ears bleed if you listen to it on the highest volume possible (which is the best way to listen to this). The track ‘Hardwired’ shows off their talent.
I was a huge fan of the track ‘Owed to Newfoundland’ both for its clever title and its oh so timely subject matter. In that same political vein, ‘My Poor City’ may not necessarily have been about St. John’s but it made me think a lot about our current state of affairs.
I must admit that not every song connected with me as there were one or two songs that just didn’t grab me musically (but that’s just my opinion), your mileage may vary. I don’t often expect to feel haunted after listening to punk rock music but I did after listening to the final Springsteen sounding track, ‘The Blast.’ It’s a great closer and leaves you pondering some heavy imagery. On that note I was a fan of the album’s lyrics, which again is not something I’m used to in punk rock.
Just to wrap things up, ‘Radio Rebelde’ is worth your time but only if you listen to it at the appropriate high volume.
